This dress had my heart at first sight. It came with pants (that I will style later) and a beautiful price tag: $3.49. Thats right up my alley.

In the meantime, I will be enjoying the weekend and perhaps starting some seedlings for our little garden.

Usually Im at home all day. Besides running errands or dropping off and picking up Micah from school Im often times in a tee or sweat shirt. Because of this I tend to dress waaaaayyyy down. No reason to wear heels while cleaning the tub or washing clothes :)
The only down side to this is if Hubby calls to see if I want to meet him for lunch(last minute of course lol) or a friend wants to drop by ect. Because of this, Ive been teaching myself how to make my 'hanging around the house" clothes look a bit more presentable without taking forever to get ready. Im working on it :)
p.s.Sorry there are so many pics today. I just couldnt chose which to post. Rio looks so cute in all of them :)

| I LOVE the texture of this skirt! |
This skirt was picked up on my latest thrifting excursion. It was love at first sight. I could not wait to share it with you all! And since the weather been in the 60's here, its been pretty easy to slip into "non traditional" colors and materials. I love this shade of green!

Style: Rubix Cube (TTO)
Dress & Shoes: Thrifted
Doesnt this dress remind you of a rubix cube? I really love this dress. Loud pattern and all.
It was a bit longer when I bought it but with some scissors and a sewing machine I was able to bring it up a few inches and make it a bit more youthful :)
Happy Monday/ MLK Day!

Style: Skinnies, Silk and Sensible Shoes (TTO)
Cape, Top, Jeans (Similar) and Shoes: Thrifted
The title explains my outfit. These 3 things were not on my "to-wear" list in 2011. While skinny jeans are cute on most people, I was not willing to actually try them on. Theres something about trying on something called skinny when youre, well, NOT. But I came across this pair earlier this week for $3 and the discount loving girl in me MADE me try them on. Success!
As for the silk, theres something about having a large chest that tells me to avoid the oversized silk shirt trend. But after trying on the jeans and having such success, I figured I should at least try the only silk shirt in my closet with it. Double Success.
Finally the granny heels. Im a High/Low girl when it comes to shoes. Skyscraping or flat on the ground is what I like. Well, these shoes caught my eye and I tried it...Triple Success!!!!!!
The moral of the story: Dont Knock it or Put yourself Down til you TRY IT!
What Trends Have you Shunned Based on Your Body Type?(without trying first)

Style: Black and White (TTO)
Dress, Sweater, Cuff and Boots: Thrifted
This is the second post in a row that Ive worn mostly black...Promise Im not depressed :) Lately the outfits Ive been wearing have consisted of clothes that arent post worthy. The kiddo (Micah) is out of school for winter break so we've been laying around the house relaxing.
The above outfit was thrown together last minute to make a quick run. Its actually the only "real clothes" Ive worn so far this week.
Happy Hump Day!
