Haul From the Mall! (Nothing Thrifted)

So heres the deal:
I had $100 to spend. Its the end of the month, all the bills are paid and I had a little left over which is rare. Hubby said I should go on a little shopping spree and buy whatever I wanted. Super exciting right? Problem is, I cant seem to only spend on myself!

It doesnt matter how much or how little I have, I always end up spending on little things for my kids or husband. I love my lil family :)

Anywho, I also decided I would try not to spend it in the thrift store. Im proud to say that I accomplished just that. Nothing posted here is from a second hand shop. Everything is new to me! So enough with the rambling, heres how I spent the money:
 Unlisted by Kenneth Cole $15!
They were originally $59 and marked down to $29.50. When I purchased them, all clearance items were an additional 50% off...SCORE!
9

Misc. Fun Stuff for Corrin : $1x4= $4

New Polish: l to r: Sally Hansen "Petrol" $1.98
Milani "Racy Green" $1.24
Mr. Micah is in LOVE with these shoes from The Gap
$11.99-40%= Aprox $8.00
Four Pairs of Pants for Mr. Micah from The Gap
$4.97x4 + 40% off= Aprox $10.00
Additional 40% off Sale @ The Gap
 More Shoes for me!!!
 8.98 @Target
More Fun Stuff from Claires: Manicure Kit and two Necklaces @ $1 each

Skirt for Miss. Corrin from Target: $3.60
Gap jellies for Miss Corrin $6.98 -40%= Aprox $4

Everything post above came to a total of: $65!
I actually ended up spending $82 if we include the dress and jeans that I failed to post (awkward pics). The plan is to share those in later style posts.
All in all it was a lot of fun. Its funny to me that nothing I purchased was full priced. Everything was at a reduced and darn near free point!

I suppose Im just made up of discounted bones :)

Happy Friday All!

p.s. Dont think I forgot about hubby. I bought him lunch at Chipotle :)

Nails: New Polish (ect)

Miss Corrin Modeling Sally Hansens Heat Wave (similar)
l to r: Buttercup, Parrot, Heat Flash (All Sally Hansen) via the clearance end cap at Walgreens.
I also picked up a new mascara/shadow/liner set to try out by Black Radiance.
(Sidenote: @TwoBirds I tried the E.l.f. liner pen and it was a fail)
Dont you just love lil baby toes :)

Miss Corrin and I share a love for mani/pedis. She likes to choose a color from my extensive yet underused color collection every week. Her favorite part is not the soaking her feet or the girl talk (about Dora or Strawberry Shortcake), its the "foot ah-sage) :)

Its a fun way for us to spend time together.

Happy Almost Weekend!

Well 7pm is the official time for summer to begin if you want to get all technical about it. Im usually not excited about the sweltering heat, allergies, bugs ect. But this year since Im "working" as a stay at home mom, the main reason (work) why I cant really enjoy the summer has flown out of the window.  Ive decided to try and bypass all the excuses as to why I cant go outside and just go for it. I plan on creating great summer memories with my kids :)

Concerts in the park? Bring it on. Picnics with the kiddos? Im game! At least I am until I get sunburned or have a serious sneeze attack lol

Sent my children off to spend time with The Grandpat aka My Dad : )
Since I had free time, I was able to thrift with my buddy Nina,

Hangout without interruption with my best friend aka the hubby at coffee shops. Which means NO Backwash into my yummy drinks!

Everyone say HELLO to my Soy Green Tea Latte :)

We attended the grand opening of H&M together. Not early enough to stand in line in 97 degree weather but just in time for hubby to snag some cute stuff. Can you believe I bought absolutely NOTHING???
We watched the 911 Reporters perform!
Eric aka The Bro in Law (911 Reporters!!!)

Finally ate at Red Robin...Yumm :)
I tore this poor Whiskey River Burger (substituted a Boca patty of course) UP!!!

And finished up with a nice long stare at the man I adore :)
All of this fun crammed into less than 48 hours. Now Im heading off with the hubby to live it up in our last 24 hours of childlessness :)

Have a Great Weekend!

Sweets: BabyCakes Saved the Day!

BabyCakes Mini Cupcake Maker

Everyone that has kids that arent scheduled to do an extensive amount of summer activities will feel my pain on this one. Kids need CONSTANT stimulation. If not you will go crazy and they will too.

That being said, I have been trying to keep the little people active by playing outside, reading, playing with the dog, watching The Price is Right (dont judge me) ect. Everything has gone pretty smoothly until we had a rainy day.

This little people had me on the verge of locking them in the hallway and ignoring them til daddy came home from work. Ok well not really locking them in the hall but I was considering taking a 5 hour shower and letting the house fall down around us! While having such thoughts I remembered that Id recently (3weeks ago) purchased this mini cupcake maker ($6) from my favorite local discount store (Dirt Cheap) and we hadnt used it yet.

I tossed the kids into the car and stopped at the corner grocery and bought a box of cake mix and icing. When we got back to the house this is what we did...
 Micah mixed the batter.
I preheated and filled the cupcake maker.

 Corrin Iced ...
 And sprinkled the Cupcakes

We all ate the cupcakes!
This entire process took 2 hours but time flew by. Once we finished baking and decorating, the kiddos were tired and ready for a nap :)
I learned my lesson: Always be prepared for a rainy day and Keep the little people busy!!!

Question for you all:
What do you do to keep the kids in your life busy/entertained?
